Marinette will be the most challenging character, due to the theme of the fic being a bit more mature. Her polyvalent nature needs to fit in, in all situations, she has to be a bit more grounded and less quirky, which draws inspiration from her movie version, but she needs to retain the charm of her show version at the same time because, well… that’s Marinette. At one point, she will realize her obsession with Adrien is unhealthy, so I will need to depict said obsession without going overboard too much. And then there the balancing act with Adrien, where I want them to be equals.
Let’s see where it turns out, feedback will be important.
As with all characters, there’s not a lot that changes plot wise from the canon. The first act will heavily focus on the civilian side and the “lovesquare”, with the Akuma villains specifically catered to specific goals. I don’t feel like villains are necessary to develop the Ladynoir dynamic, they could be eating ice cream on a rooftop for example, like in the movie.
