“Miraculous” is something I’ve developed a peculiar interest in; a great idea plagued by a not-so-great execution. Fanfics tend to lean heavily into AU’s, usually to a point where I can’t identify it with “Miraculous” anymore. Hence why I launched this project of my own, it’s made for those who felt “robbed” by S5’s conclusion and/or Adrien’s general sidelining in the story.
The goal here is basically a Vanilla+ rewrite; to improve on the original show’s shortcomings, while remaining true to its identity and canon, as much as possible. There will be changes and chronological rearrangements of events, some more significant than others, but the idea is to preserve the integrity of everything that the show did do well.
The general idea is to craft a more condensed and intimate version of the story to improve pacing, focusing on a more limited amount of characters and attributing proportional development. It will do away with the monster-of-the-week episodic format. The story will have a satisfying conclusion, but remains open-ended for optional continuation.

No time travel shenanigans or cop-outs, besides the standard 5-minute limited “Second Chance”. This will overall increase the stakes and tension. And before you ask: Yes, I have plans to incorporate “Cat Blanc” in the main continuity.
I am but one person, so I will try to involve more like-minded enthusiasts for quality control.
